Guest Post by EdCamp Tampa Bay Attendee Kara Welty @kara_welty
I took my connections to the next level this weekend. I met MANY of my (previously known as) “Twitter Friends.” Call me crazy, but I flew from STL to Tampa just to meet them.
...and it was well worth every mile and dollar.
Seeing the friendly and familiar faces, that once immersed my phone and laptop, finally in person, has been an out of body experience, literally. Instant comradery.
To everyone reading this, thank you. You have exhilarated me, enlightened me. Each of you has that get-up-and go drive and tenacity, that at the very essence, is what I strive to be. Simply put, reflecting on this weekend, and my Twitter experience, thus far, brings me to tears.
My current challenge for you: This week, reach out to ONE person who says “Twitter and I are NOT friends!” Strive to change their mindset. Not only could you change their mentality, but you could TRULY transform their life forever...
