The EdCamp Tampa Bay organizing committee and Plato Academy Schools invite all Public, Charter, Private, and Parochial School teachers to the very first EdCamp in the Tampa Bay Area called EdCampTampaBay.
EdCampTampaBay will take place at Plato Academy Clearwater, located at 2045 Palmetto Street, Clearwater, Florida 33765 on October 10, 2015 from 9:00am to 3:30pm. The event is free, and you can register today here.
What is an EdCamp?
An EdCamp, also known as an Unconference, is a learning event designed by teachers for teachers, in which sessions are organically generated by the participants, based on attendee interest on the day of the event. At an EdCamp, there are no paid presenters or vendor booths; rather, discussions are participant-driven. During these discussions/sessions sharing multiple perspectives is encouraged and everyone is welcomed to share his/her experiences. Most discussions tend to center on the latest in education strategies, technology, and innovation, but you will decide what we discuss once there! Public and private school teachers from Pre-K through post-secondary are encouraged to join us and take ownership of your own professional development. We can promise you one thing: you’ll never look at PD the same way after you attend an Edcamp!
